How can I do my "scene hair" for semi-formal ?

Okay well i've got what you'd call "scene hair"

its red with black underneath..%26amp; i've got short choppy layers on top..while its long-ish underneath.

I wanna get an updo for semi, but should I put it all up? or just like, some of it ?

I was thinking maybe get it all curled, then have it pinned somehow ?

Any help would be wonderful : )

i know what you mean. I would definitely curl it up and kind of make it to a up do. Check out natalie portman's style its really cute.

There are various styles of curl up dos. I think u should make an up do since u have scene hair, i take it your have it loose most of time. So try looking different from your usual self :]

I think if you dress nicely there's no need to change your hair.

It would set you apart form others really well, but it wouldn't be super crazy since you'd be wearing a classy dress.
