Well... something we saw a lot of on the red carpet earlier this year that I personally liked, was the soft 40's-ish curled hair. You could either curl your hair into loose, gentle waves and leave it down, or you could curl pieces with a curling iron and then pull it over to the side and pin it. Looks really glamorous, as long as it's not too too big, too messy, or too extreme.
