I just got my hair dyed lighter and it is about sholder length with side swept bangs and is pretty staight with a few waves in it, but I always straighten it and I have a formal dance in a week and I have no idea how to wear it. It needs to be something that will last for a night. My dress in a deep red if that helps

something that is very in right now is the loose updo's those are very pretty...with the loose curls..you do not want a tight updo..maybe putting it up half up not too tightly and having your bangs down and to the side and the rest all curled..i love the era updo's and looks like from the 50's and 40's..you might look at some pics from a decade and show them to stylist..it would be something different..hope this helps!

During my high school prom I had the most gorgeous hair. Do a half curly updo. Full updo just looks somehow too plain and too sophisticated. Since You are young I suggest half up do. First, Use a curler with medium sized barrel and curl all of your hair. Then do half up do and leaving some hair on the side. You will look absolutely gorgeous.
