How should I wear my hair to winter formal?

I'm really stuck on how to wear my hair to our school's winter formal! My hair is a medium-brownish color and goes down to my shoulders in length, and it has a lot of layers. My dress is elegant, so I guess my hair should go along with that. The dress is full length, black and white, and is strapless.

Any ideas?

I recommend an updo with curls is the best way to wear but one with soft curls to look elegant not set with alot of hairspray. Have some of those curls hang down in front to look even more elegant. Somebody said add glitter to your hair that would be a nice touch also but not too much just a touch.
